Polyurethane Insulated sandwich panels
PU insulated panel is a composite prefabricated building material. It is made up of a rigid core sandwiched between two metal sheets. The rigid core is made of polyurethane which is known for its excellent heat insulation properties. Polyurethane is the most widely used insulation material for cold-rooms and energy efficient buildings.

Panels are made of two metal sheets which are roll formed to increase strength. The steel sheets are placed in moulds and injected with liquid polyurethane using a high pressure injection machine. The panels are heat cured in the moulds to form a rigid sandwich panel which has high strength and excellent insulation property. The material for sheet metal is galvanised steel which is pre painted and has layer of polythene on top. This gives the panel great insulation and is completely rust resistant properties.Polyurethane is well known for its insulation properties. The annual worldwide consumption of polyurethane for the use of insulation is approximately 662 Million Kilograms. Insulation properties are usually measured by R-Values. R- Value is a relationship between thickness of material and the transfer of heat per unit area. The greater the R value the better insulation properties. As seen in the table above polyurethane rigid panel has the highest R value thus having the best insulation properties.
